Here’s what you should be doing when you’re in an office with employees that aren’t taking their responsibilities for granted.
Have a great working relationship If you’re the one that gets the last word in a discussion, it’s important to have a working relationship with your colleagues.
This is especially important if your boss is a very good listener.
When a coworker is being very rude, you can make a case to them by saying that you’re listening and that you understand what’s being said.
This can be especially helpful if you have an open conversation, as it can allow you to ask the person what they’re saying.
In the worst case scenario, you might even be able to convince them to change their mind and not be rude in the first place.
Don’t be a douchebag This one’s pretty obvious, but you should also avoid acting like you have a high opinion of others.
It’s not helpful for your boss to see your opinions as their own.
They’ll likely judge you for it and try to get your opinion as their.
If you can’t make it work, you should take a look at your job and how it could be improved.
Don.t. make excuses for yourself It’s okay to be a jerk at times, but when you do, your boss might be more likely to assume that you are the cause of the problem.
This might lead to a hostile work environment.
So if you do get in trouble for something, don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Make a plan for your future In your career, you have lots of options.
You can start with a few jobs that you love, and then get out of them as they get less and less attractive.
Or you can start your own business and expand your options, or you can move back home to start a family and take advantage of the flexibility.
If your job is getting boring, take some time to get yourself together and plan your next move.
This will give you a more balanced outlook on the world and your career.
Stop complaining If your boss gets frustrated with you, it may be a sign that you need to take some responsibility for your work.
Asking for help isn’t a bad thing.
If it’s a rude coworker, it might be time to stop blaming them and instead focus on getting better at your work, your company, and yourself.
If there’s something you need help with, feel free to reach out and discuss it with a coworking partner.
Take care of yourself Make sure you’re getting the most out of your time.
Make sure that you eat well, exercise, and take care of your body.
Make healthy habits a priority.
Listen to your bosses advice.
If they suggest that you take time off to get out and travel, do it.
This way, you won’t be the only one who’s bored and you won’st have to do the same thing.
The more you work from home, the less likely you are to be bored and the less you’ll have to deal with coworkers that aren�t very nice.
Get creative and find new ways to work This might seem obvious, so let’s take a step back and look at the big picture.
As we said earlier, it seems like we’re all in this together.
It�s hard to know what to do when you don’t have a lot of time to yourself.
But if you find that your job isn’t helping you grow, take action.
If a coworkers office has a lot to offer, make sure you check out a coworkering app, try to find new projects, or start a new company.
Or, if you just feel like taking a vacation, consider working from home.
If all else fails, just work from your computer, tablet, or phone, which is more of a waste of time than anything else.
And most importantly, don�t complain.
It might not make you feel better, but at least you won�t be miserable at work.
