The Gujarat government is yet to make any formal offer for the Fizz-producing company Fizz Industries.
The company’s chief executive, Raman Fizz, had told The Hindu that the Gujarat Government has no interest in the construction of new structures.
“We are not interested in the development of structures, only in building them.
We have no interest, if anything, in the Fizzy brand.
Fizz does not make any money, its not an investment and its not something we need,” he had said.
On Friday, a government panel headed by former Supreme Court judge Amitabh Kant had cleared Fizz to proceed with the project.
The government will decide on the project when the panel meets in three days, the government spokesperson said.
The Gujarat government has already purchased some Fizz products.
The department had also acquired some Fizzy equipment from an unnamed US company for building in the state.
